“ Gangnam Market is like the Gen Z version of HMart. More neon lights, more trendy influencer items, and overstimulation to the max. On the West Coast, we're blessed with tons of Korean markets whether big chain like H Mart or small biz spots. It's fun to know that Chicago has their own slice of Korean market bliss as well. I was definitely overstimulated when walking into Gangnam Market, kinda like when you walk into Don-Don Donki (in Taiwan, Hawaii, and Japan). You have your grocery/market aisles, fruits/veg, and delicious treats. But they also have a food hall here with like 5 different eatery options from tacos, noodles, to sushi. A bar too! It's easily accessible by bus if you're visiting from out of town. They have wifi too, which I easily accessed by asking any of the staff. I tried those influencer-famous peel-able candies and it just didn't do it for me. I'd rather stick with my tried and true sweets and desserts I usually get at Korean or Asian markets in general. ”
“ This is my first time here to grab ingredients for a hotpot with the family. It's a very nice Korean market, and I love the decor--it's bright and colorful! I read most of the reviews where parking was difficult to find. It is between Morgan and Huron Streets, just before Milwaukee Avenue. The P (parking sign) is blue. We forgot to validate our ticket but went back, and the cashier was nice enough to stamp it. Since we were having hotpot, hubby and I did not stop in their food court. It is a neighborhood staple, which is nice to see. The next time we come, we will definitely try their food court. ”

They also were handing out red envelopes for CNY! I won both a key chain and egg frying pan for FREE! I also got $5 off my purchase using their rewards program. “ Really like his grocery store. Love the fact that there's both American and Asian grocery available at one store, that also isn't ridiculous price on both types. I also love that there's Asian snacks that are specific to Japanese flavors. I like the food court items, bakery, bubble tea shop, and the bar. It's a unique twist to a grocery store that also includes getting lunch or dinner in one place. Free parking available for 90 minutes with purchase. You need to get your ticket validated. ”
“ The food was good but not great I would say. I really liked the turkey ramen I had and loved the ability to customize the ramen. It was really easy to do so on the tablets as there is no person to really take orders and you can just use the tablet and wait til your order is called. The breakfast sandwich was just ok - the special bread was good not great, the hash brown kinda muted all the other flavor, I'm not sure I'd get it again. Love the grocery store too, my wife and I had a great time wandering around the store and reminiscing about some items while being very intrigued about others we hadn't seen before. We're probably overdue to return, we had a good time. ”
